Join us at the next ASC Tutorial in Canberra from 16-19 October 2017 at QT Hotel in Canberra for “Contemporary Cytology – updates to diagnostic approach and guidelines“.
This year we warmly welcome two international Guest Speakers.
Professor William Faquin, the Director of Head and Neck Pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. Professor Faquin is recognised for his contribution and teaching in the field of Head and Neck pathology and cytology, an area growing in complexity and difficulty, associated with increasing numbers of HPV-related Head and Neck SCCs.
Our second guest speaker is Dr Michael Henry, the Director of General Cytotechnology at the Mayo Clinic. Dr Henry will present his topic on EUS FNA of the pancreatobiliary and upper GIT ssytem, another area in Cytology growing in complexity and demand.
The remainder of the Tutorial will be presented by senior consultants and faculty members, experts within their fields: A/Prof Raymond – Challenges of FNA Breast Cytology, A/Prof Carter and Effusion Cytology, A/Prof Field and Diagnostic Approach to Lymph Nodes, Drs Twin and Park will address Urine Cytology and the Paris System while A/Prof Anderson, (co-author of the New Cervical Screening Guidelines and Liquid-Based Cervical Smears) will share her views as we move from a cervical screening platform to a diagnostic platform in gynaecological cytology.
