Australian Society of CytologyBoard of Education
This Board was formed in recent years and has its own Terms of Reference. There are four Members of this Board who are permanent. They are one member of Executive and the current holders of the position of Editor of Cytoletter, the CEC Registrar and the Web Master for the Society. The Chairperson has to be nominated from within the board, and he or she, and other members, can only hold office for 4 years.
The CEC Program, the Tutorials, Continuing Education, Cytoletter, the Web Site, CD ROMs and the development of a National Training Syllabus are all current projects being developed by Members of this Board.
Members of this Board currently meet twice a year.
The Tutorial comes under the auspices of the Board of Education and both the convenor and the faculty all volunteer their time.
This Board is also now charged with helping to ensure that there is an IAC exam held in Australia every year. They will endeavour to do this immediately following the annual Tutorial.
This board reports directly to Council.
