Renal Cell Carcinoma

Renal cell carcinoma can have bland nuclear features. Irregular nuclei and macronucleoli can be seen in poorly differentiated tumours. A characteristic feature is the presence of abundant finely vacuolated cytoplasm giving the cells a "clear cell" appearance.
