FNA Thyroid

Clinical History:

A 74 year old female presented with an 8cm rapidly growing nodule in the right lobe of the thyroid.
An ultrasound guided FNAB was performed. We received 6 airdried slides and a needle rinse in Hanks solution. Three of the slides were rehydrated in saline solution for Papanicolaou staining. The needle rinse was submitted for flow cytometry.
