FNA Thyroid

Clinical History:

A 33 year old female with a multinodular goitre presented with a dominant, hypofunctioning and partially calcified nodule in the left lobe. An ultrasound guided fine needle biopsy (FNB) was performed.

Mixed population of lymphocytes and a tingible  body macrophage (20x Pap) Oncocytes arranged in microfollicles with admixed lymphocytes (20x Pap) Immature lymphocytes showing irregular nuclear membranes and nucleoli (20x Pap)
