Cervical smear - conventional and ThinPrep.
Clinical History:
Female patient 31 years old was referred to a gynaecological outpatients clinic with a history of 5 years of post-coital bleeding and dyspareunia. A Pap smear taken two years previously was reported as benign with no endocervical cells present.On examination of the patient, there was a large amount of obvious bleeding and a Pap smear with accompanying ThinPrep sample was collected.
