Specimen type:
Fine needle aspiration of swelling in the neck.
Clinical History:
A 48 year old female presented with a non-tender swelling in the neck. She was otherwise well.
Clinical examination confirmed a palpable nodule on the right lobe of the thyroid which was seen to be "cold" and solid/cystic on imaging study. A fine needle aspiration was performed.
