Clinical History:
A 39 year old woman who presented with abdominal pain. An ultrasound showed bilateral ovarian cysts probably of 'luteal' nature and she was booked for a laparoscopy.A Pap smear was performed one week prior to surgery. She had no known previous smear history.

The Pap smear shows a clean background with scattered cohesive groups with a well-defined outline and almost papillary architecture. The cells have rounded nuclei, evenly granular chromatin and small nucleoli. The cytoplasm is scanty but occasionally appears vacuolated.
